Warning: Gear Talk 😉 Lets talk about the different constructions on gypsy-swing guitars

New intermediate Solo on my “After You´ve Gone” – Lesson. I updated the already existing lesson “After You´ve Gone”. Now you can learn the theme, an intermediate & an advanced solo. In addition to that, there is a new (slower) rhythmtrack available.

This is of the most important lessons at the academy…it sounds “boring”, but without some iechnical background you are not able to play gypsy swing guitar. Btw it is always important to improve & review your technique. We updated this technique lesson & added some new “Down Up Down” exercises for you.

I am pretty sure you will know this tune – written by Isham Jones in 1924 it became a well-known standard. There are several instrumental-recordings by Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and also Django Reinhardt available. He recorded this tune together with his “Quintette du Hot Club de France”. In this lesson you will learn to play „Blues Clair“, a Django Reinhardt original from 1943. We recorded this tune on Biréli Lagréne´s guest appearance at the academy studio and thought it would be interesting to analyze some parts of our both solos.
